Light as a feather

9 Aug

It’s been a long time, I’ll try to make it up with lots of photos 🙂
Fimo is a form of clay, but also a kind of plastic. So the resulting product is very lightweight. Below are two icecream earrings hanging on a tulip petal.

And here is the doughnut heaven:

In a while I’ll make new earrings. Perhaps berries, or apples? If you have any good ideas, give me a tip, maybe I’ll make it 🙂

And, I’ll include the newest contribution to the store, needle felted animals for window decorations.

As well as new pin cushions:

Wedding Cake Topper

18 Oct

One of my best friends got married this weekend. It was great! 😀

I got the honour of making the wedding cake topper for them! I thought I’d show you the process as well.

This is the base for the two birds, made of polymer clay (Fimo).

They need beaks and wings.

And eyes. And a hat!

And she could use some flowers. The base on which they are placed is in the background. The bottom-most base is an overturned miniature ceramic pot painted white.

Glued them on the base, gave her a veil and added some red and white roses and some lace.

By chance I found a box that fit rather nicely ^^

Coffee anyone?

4 Oct

It’s not mini. They might actually be a bit bigger than normal. But it’s ‘food’, and made of fimo, so it counts. Hello coffeebean-earrings!

Some cake and confectionary. Not jewlery, just made for the heck of it! Nomnom 🙂

Have you got ideas or constructive critisism for me, please let me know! I want to get better and need feedback 🙂

Totoro <3

26 Sep

Some fanart to Totoro! First off the refrigerator-magnet. As always made of Fimo. The orange is a prop, magnets don’t stick to food :p

The small Totoro as a pendant.

I love the tiny black little thingies that are both in My neighbor Totoro and Spirited away. They eat stars ^^

Lastly an update on the earring-repertoir:

More tasty stuff

Here’s one of the fimo cupcakes, properly packed and cutiefied:

The same for the school-buns:

And though I know I said I wouldn’t make junkfood just yet, I couldn’t stop myself from making two burgers

I also made some pendants! First, I tried out making pinups. I made some without bows as well, but I personally think they look better with them.

Last, but not least, the chocolate bar and chocolate cake. Because we all love chocolate ^^

Tasty Earrings

29 Aug

So. I’ve been busy. I have started making earrings, and now I need your feedback. What is good, what is bad, which one do you like the most, and what other things should I make? These are the things I would like to know 🙂 I try to give you an impression of their scale in the pictures, but they are mostly about 1,5 cm, not including the hanger. They are all made of hardened clay, often called Fimo.

First off is the icecream! Yumyum!

Now for the ‘School bread’

So what do you think? Does it look better without the grated coconut?

Lemon cupcakes are up:

Icecream!

Group-photo!

Cake and pie:

Cookies for a cookiemonster!

Lastly, the doughnut 🙂

So, that was alot of pictures.. Please tell me what you think. This is my repertoir for now, and I have some more ideas, but do tell me if you have any ideas what might be cool to hang from your ear!

Who’s your Daddy?

17 Aug

So, my friend asked me to make a Dart Vader fimo figure she could hang from the mirror in her car. I was up for it.

I also made a little cosplay sidekick-version of him:

To play with clay

16 Sep

A couple of years ago I came across this coloured clay called Fimo that you could bake in your own oven. It was a great day.

This figure is one of the rabbits from the awesome ‘Rabbits reenacting famous movies in 30 seconds’ at angryalien.jaws

But my career of making small clay figures would not exist if it were not for my brother one day asking me if i could make the cookiemonster for him.

After this he has given me regular assignments of making clay figures out of characters from various games. One christmas I made him a ‘Raving Rabbid’ in a can of whopass. I stole the font from the champignon-can I made it of.

Last chrismas i endeavoured to make him a model of the first level of Bubble Bobble, my favourite game as I grew up. We used to play it for hours on end, having defined assignments and procedures for each of the 100 levels.

First I made the figures starring level one. They are eating coins to prevent their jaws from gliding shut before they are baked. In the background you can faintly see Bubble Bobble on a computer screen.

The frame is painted as level 1. Kudos to a friend of mine for making the pieces of wood i needed as ledges.
